Park on Allée des Platanes in Juillac.
(S/E) Continue north on Allée des Platanes. When you reach the Y-junction at the corner of the cemetery, turn left and walk along the west wall of the cemetery. Cross the road and continue straight ahead, passing the old water tower. You will reach a crossroads at the fire station.
(1) Turn right, go straight ahead at the crossroads and join the D901. Cross carefully, follow the road to the left and then turn right towards La Vialle. Between the two ponds, take the path on the right. Continue to the right at the fork and then keep left to reach the hamlet of Montcheyrol.
(2) In the middle of the hamlet, take the path on the right and follow it to a small road at Moulin de la Roche. Follow it for a few metres to the left. Continue to the bridge over the Tourmente.
(3) Cross the bridge and follow the path to the entrance to the hamlet of La Roche. Turn left, then in the hamlet, turn right and follow the road for about 100 metres until you reach a crossroads.
(4) Turn left and begin a slight climb into the woods. Continue south until you reach a Y-junction and turn left to find another junction further on.
(5) Leave the path and turn left onto a path that is not shown on the map. After a hairpin bend, you will reach the Tourmente. Stay on the right bank (see Practical Information 1) and follow the river, crossing the following footbridges. Reach the left bank and look for another footbridge (see Practical Information 2).
(6) Leave the river and take the path on the left towards La Vialle. Halfway up the hill at the crossroads, turn left. At the entrance to the hamlet, go straight ahead and then immediately right. Continue to the crossroads.
(7) At the exit of the hamlet, go straight ahead, then take the path downhill to the left which takes you back to the bottom of the village of Juillac. During rainy periods, this part of the route can be difficult. We therefore suggest an alternative route via the path downhill to the right, which takes you to the Trigant road and then to point 8 (follow the yellow markings).
(8) Turn left onto Rue du Font des Roches, which leads to the centre of the village. Follow Grande Rue to the left, then turn right onto Rue de la République. Turn left to walk along the green space and reach a large crossroads. Cross at the pedestrian crossing and turn left onto Allée des Platanes to reach the car park (S/E).
