The Vimy Woods

Departure from the Pyramid car park, Rue Carnot.

(S/E) Exit the car park, cross Rue Carnot at the pedestrian crossing and take Rue du 8 Mai 1945 opposite until you reach Rue Victor Hugo.

(1) Turn right and continue straight on Chemin des Écouloirs.

(2) Pass the entrance to the British cemetery on your right and continue along the motorway until you reach a Y-junction.

(3) Keep right on Chemin des Carrières and continue straight ahead until you reach Rue Verte.

(4) Turn left and continue straight ahead until you reach the end of Rue du Canada.

(5) Go up this road, then take the third right, Rue de Vimy, and continue straight ahead until you reach the bridge over the motorway.

(6) Cross the bridge, then leave a track on the left to follow a path that follows a narrow opening through the forest. Then enter the forest canopy to reach a fork.

(7) Follow the path on the left, then cross the road and take the side lane on the right. Continue straight ahead at the second bend to reach a junction.

(8) Keep left, continue straight ahead until you exit the forest and arrive at the memorial.

(9) Turn right to go around the memorial. Then keep left until you reach Route des Canadiens.

(10) Follow it to the right, then, at the stud farm, take the path on the left and go under the motorway.

(11) Keep going until you reach the fork.

(12) Turn left and return to the crossroads you passed on the way there.

(1) Continue straight ahead to return to the car park (S/E).

(variant 1) at point (9), turn right, then after the second bend take the path on the right, continue downhill towards Givenchy, at the bottom turn left onto Rue Lamartine, then left onto Rue Charles Ferrand, then turn left onto Rue Pierre Curie and go back up to point (10).
