Park on the Place de la Mairie in Saint-Aubin-du-Cormier.
(S) With your back to the car park, take Rue Heurtault straight ahead to Place Alexandre Veillard.
(1) Turn left, walk along the square and take the narrow lane to the right of the church. Turn right onto Chemin des Douves. At the next junction, veer left and continue straight on, heading down towards Le Pissot until you reach the covered wash house.
(2) Take the small path before the wash house which leads into the Ruminion woods. Follow this path which runs along the edge of the woods and then crosses through them. Join the small road and turn right onto it. Pass Bel-Air and continue straight on to the junction after the cross.
(3) Turn left, then left again. At the wayside shrine, take the road on the right. Opposite the cemetery, enter the car park and cross the Bel Air complex (village hall, cinema and theatre). Head down the path towards the lake. Turn right to follow the lakeside and join the road. Turn left towards the castle ruins and its keep. You can admire this historic site.
(4) Turn left onto the path that goes round the pond to the campsite and continues along Rue de l’Étang. Turn right to admire the small botanical garden next to it. Head to Place de l’Église via Rue Cottin.
(1) Turn left onto Rue Heurtault and head back to Place de la Mairie, where the car park is located.
