Park in the Chemin du Stade car park.
(S/E) Take a small path to reach the centre of old Espeluche and cross it. Walk along Boulevard de la République for a few metres, then turn left before the school onto Chemin des Hochettes. Turn left onto Chemin du Clos.
(1) Turn right and continue straight on Chemin du Château d'Eau, then take the dirt track that goes uphill.
(2) After passing the hill, take Chemin de Moïse on the left. Continue straight ahead, ignoring the paths branching off to the left and right. Cross Ravin de Moïse and pass by Fontaine d'Artur.
(3) Continue until you reach a crossroads.
(4) At the end of the path, follow the curve to the right and continue to the right. The trail climbs up a balcony and then joins a small track on the ridge under the pine trees. There is a clear view of Espeluche and the Ardèche mountains.
(5) When you reach the Moïse signpost (altitude 325 m), continue straight ahead towards Chemin des Soldats. The climb is steep and rocky. At the signpost, continue to the Échinière signpost (altitude 358 m).
(6) Follow the wide track on the left which climbs in stages. After about 500m, take the path on the left through the undergrowth which joins another forest track.
(7) Continue on the left and follow this track for a few hundred metres, then turn right and left again to rejoin the track.
(8) At the Plateau des Claves signpost (altitude 390 m), take the single track path that descends towards Fontbrenoux. At the Fontbrenoux signpost (altitude 350 m), continue towards Champ de l'Anier.
(9) At the signpost, take the small balcony path on the right. View of the Château de Rochefort-en-Valdaine.
Join the forest track that descends. A few hundred metres further on, turn right then left at the next intersection. Join the forest track again.
(10) At the Chemin de Jamot signpost (altitude 240 m), turn right towards Grel.
(11) At the D4 road, turn left and take Chemin de la Série opposite. Keep to the left and follow Chemin du Gât. Just before reaching the Puygiron road, turn left onto a small grassy path, cross a wooden footbridge and head for the car park (S/E).
