Access: coming from Dinard via the D786: Dinard-Dinan; at the Village des Landes roundabout, take thefirst road on the right: the D266; and at thefirst junction, turn left onto Rue du Moulin de Richebois and follow its continuation, Route des Rues, to the riverbank.
Park before the bridge over the Frémur (on the hard shoulder of the D118) or at the end of the bridge in the designated spaces on both sides of the road.
(S/E) Climb over the safety barrier to join the path on the right bank that follows the contours of the ponds. Reach the Pomphily circular bend, where the arch and a tower from a farm that disappeared when the dam was flooded still stand.
(1) Continue along the right bank of the Frémur. Reach the Bois Joli Dam.
(2) As crossing the dam is prohibited, continue along the path to go round the ponds. You will reach a small bridge.
(3) Cross it, but take care here as the path is at water level and crosses a very wet area which may be muddy. You will emerge at Bois Ménard onto a stretch of road; take this to the left to reach the reservoir at Pont és Omnès.
(4) Here, there are two options:
- reach the other bank by walking along the concrete road around the reservoir, but take great care as you’ll need to step over the eel ladder (the option shown on the map);
- more sensibly, go round the reservoir via the path behind it.
Then continue left along the left bank of the Frémur. Head towards the Bois Joli Dam.
(5) Continue along this bank. Follow the road running alongside the fence of the water treatment plant. When you reach the gate to the plant, take the path opposite. Reach La Garenne.
(6) Here, stay on the path along the Frémur to follow the cove. After the hamlet of La Barre, reach the southern end of this cove.
(7) Here, there are two options:
- turn right onto the D118 to shorten the walk and reach the bridge over the Frémur;
- continue left to follow the cove, arriving at a place called La Ville Bonnette (the option chosen on the map).
(8) Here too, there are two options:
- keep left and follow the riverbank to reach the bridge over the Frémur;
- turn right onto the path, then rejoin the D118, turn left onto it to reach the bridge (option chosen on the map).
(9)Cross the Frémur via the bridge and head to the Les Rues car park on the right bank (S/E).
