Lac and Col d'Anterne in 2 days starting from Plaine Joux

If you spend a night at the Moëde Anterne refuge, you can make a round trip to Lake Anterne, taking a different route on the descent from the refuge.
Beautiful view of Mont Blanc. Three lakes on the programme: Lac de Pormenaz on the first day, then a night at the refuge, Lac d'Anterne the next day, which reflects the rocky ridge of Les Fiz, and Lac Vert near Plaine Joux, to be saved for the return trip.

Notes

The Moëde Anterne refuge is spacious and accessible by 4x4. However, it is advisable to book in advance. Dormitories, showers and evening meals are available. Bring a sleeping bag liner for the night.
You can have a picnic lunch prepared for the second day.
The climb described is sometimes tough, but very well equipped. Good high-top shoes and walking sticks are recommended.
You can have a drink and fill your water bottle at the Chatelet d'Ayères and Moëde Anterne refuges.

This route passes through a protected area, which may be subject to special regulations:

Worth a visit

If you have three days, you can consider the Fiz tour, staying at the Refuge de Platé on the second night, but this is another hike...
Another option is to climb up to Les Fiz via the "Dérochoir", a difficult and dangerous trail that is only suitable for experienced mountaineers.

Always be cautious and plan ahead when you're outdoors. Visorando and the author of this route cannot be held responsible for any accidents occurring on this route.
