Park in the Mont Blanc car park.
(S/E) Turn left onto the road towards the resort and go under the building. At the exit of the Lac des Combes car park and at the shuttle bus stop:
- either turn left above the lake onto the road that goes round the buildings,
- or take the lift leading to Place Olympique.
Head to the Tourist Office.
(1) Continue south-west, passing the Lanchette chairlift station, and keep going in this direction to reach a crossroads of paths at the Chalets de l'Arc.
(2) Take the path on the right. Pass under the Saint-Jacques chairlift and immediately afterwards under the Varet gondola lift. Then, after the Marmottes chairlift, reach the lower station of the Arcabulle chairlift.
(3) Take this and follow a straight, very gentle climb to reach the top station.
(4) Head down to the left, follow the signs for Lac des Moutons and reach the Col de la Chal.
(5) From here, begin a gentle climb to reach Lac des Moutons.
(6) You can continue along the lake to reach the viewpoint overlooking the valley towards Peisey-Nancroix to the east, Le Mont Pourri, Mont Blanc de Peisey and the Dome des Pichères.
(7) Head back down and go round the lake along its right-hand shore. Keep to the right to pass under the Grand Col chairlift. Reach Lac Marlou.
(8) Continue northwards, then follow the Plan de l'Homme and Lac Saint-Jacques to reach the crossroads of the trails at the Chalets de l'Arc.
(2) Follow the route back in the opposite direction to return to the Mont Blanc car park (S/E).
