The Pointe de Balafrasse
Starting from the Col de la Colombière, the Pointe de Balafrasse is a hike that passes by Lac de Peyre. Panoramic view of the Aravis mountain range and the Mont Blanc massif if the clouds are not too thick. No technical difficulties except perhaps for those who are afraid of heights after the Col de Balafrasse between (3) and .
Pointe du Midi circular via the Montarquis Cave and Lake Peyre
Starting from the Col de la Colombière, I suggest a virtually circular route up to the Pointe du Midi: this is a lovely walk, taking in the area around the Grotte de Montarquis and the Lac de Peyre.Caution: as the terrain is quite rocky, you should exercise caution in the vicinity of the Pointe du Midi, particularly in the Cu Déri couloir, just before point (6), which is quite exposed to rockfalls. The use of a GPS is recommended (see below).

The Col de la Forclaz from Entremont to Le Petit Bornand
In the commune of Glières-Val-de-Borne, in the Bargy massif, Lac de Lessy is a true gem at the foot of the Pic de Jalouvre. The walk takes you through forests and mountain pastures. It features a short rocky section. The start from La Joux and the return via Montagne de Paradis and Cocogne are what make this walk unique. You pass the two-hundred-year-old hamlet of Les Chalets de Mayse. The Chalet de Lessy is nestled on the lakeside after the Col de la Forclaz.
Gouille des Fours - Col des Annes via Lac de Tardevant
From Gouille des Fours, head towards Lac de Tardevant via the Grande Forclaz and Ambrevetta passes, then return via alpine pastures and forests to La Pointe and Col des Annes.
Aiguille des Calvaires and Combe de Borderan
A great pointy summit with a cross on top and good views followed by a descent of Borderan Combe. This could easily be done in reverse and/or without the use of the cable cars.
