Leaving Cuxac-Cabardès, exit the village to the west and take the D62. At the first junction, turn right onto the D562 via a large hairpin bend. Continue along this road, which climbs northwards with very tight bends. When you reach a crossroads with several lanes, look for a small sign saying "Parc éolien de Lacombe G3 à G6" (Lacombe G3 to G6 wind farm). Park on the left on the first lane.
(S/E) Cross the road and take the wide track opposite, heading north-east. Follow this track through the chestnut forest. It is very narrow between two embankments, which are quite high in places. Pass a pond on your left and continue to the Lac de Laprade dam.
(1) Turn left onto a forest path that runs along the lake. Several information boards provide details about the local flora and fauna.
(2) Continue straight ahead on a barely visible path through the forest. The path will disappear completely. You cannot get lost if you keep to the left and continue uphill.
(3) You will come to a path that is not marked on the map. Take it to the left and follow it slightly uphill to a much wider track.
(4) You will rejoin the marked route and turn left towards the descent. Find the D562 and turn right for 100 metres.
(5) Take a small path on the left that descends gently. At the first crossroads, turn left to return to the starting point (S/E).
