La Volta a Andorra – a variation of the GRP® to avoid Bony de la Pica

(S) At the Col de Montaner, follow the path to the left and start the descent towards the Borda Cortals de Sispony refuge. Shortly after a hairpin bend, cross a stream and continue down the slope until you reach a track.

(1) Follow the track to the right, cross the Riu Montaner and emerge onto a meadow. Continue along the track towards Sispony, ignoring a path leading uphill to the left. Pass between some buildings, leaving the Borda Cortals de Sispony refuge on your right, then the track leading up to Pic de Carroi, and follow the tarmac road.

(2) Continue the descent by going straight on, ignoring all the paths to the right and left.

(3) Enter Sispony via Carrer Major, passing the Casa Rull Museum. Take a sharp right-hand bend and continue along Carretera de Sispony. Pass a series of bends and reach the main road, Carretera General CG-3.

(4) Turn right onto the main road and continue to the Cruïlla de Sispony bus stop (E).

Borda Cortals de Sispony Mountain Hut

In Sispony, you can take the L6 bus from Cruïlla de Sispony towards Andorra la Vella. Get off the bus at Plaça Guillemo. At this same stop, take the connecting L1 bus to Sant Julia de Loria.

You have two options
Option 1: get off the L1 bus at La Rotonda de la Margineda and continue along the GRP® to Sant Julia de Loria; in this case, follow route (13) from the stage “From the Coma Pedrosa Refuge to Sant Julia de Loria”.

Option 2: continue on bus L1 to Sant Julia de Loria and get off at La Planella, very close to your car park.
