One or two viewpoints offer beautiful panoramic views of the valley or the medieval castle of Bourscheid.
In Erpeldange, the walk crosses the railway and the river, turns north on the left bank and quickly leaves the valley behind to return to the forest.
The pretty viewpoint at Predigstuhl (Chaire à Prêcher) is a little difficult to reach but well worth the effort.
The route briefly passes close to the country's main north-south road again at the Closdelt farm (no other route possible) and then branches off to 'plunge' almost straight down to the starting point.
The route is fully marked with a sky blue circle with the inscription ER1. A short detour to its official starting point will take you to the centre of Erpeldange-sur-Sûre.
Starting from Michelau station (free parking, free access by train or bus from anywhere in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg), the walk heads south, crosses the Sûre (a river similar to the Ourthe and Semois in Belgium) and climbs up the right bank, following its course along a forest path, a small country road and a slightly steep trail.
