Description of the walk

Parking near the church and community centre in Hoscheid.

(S/E) With your back to the church, head towards the main road. Turn left and continue to the Escapardenne Lee Trail crossroads.

(1) Stay on the road and follow it uphill until you leave the town. Shortly after the bus stop on your left, take the path also on your left. First sound trail installation. When you reach the other road, turn left and then immediately right after the house.

Markings: White Wave on Blue Rectangle

Continue along the path, passing the second sound installation. The path turns sharply to the right and descends into the forest.

(2) At the crossroads, picnic table and third sound installation, continue straight ahead. Go down to a barrier and continue to the right. Fourth sound installation. Go down to the bridge and cross it.

(3) Turn right and go up the wide path on the left. Go up the winding forest path. Ignore the paths coming from the left (not on the map) or starting at the bends until you reach the top, where you will find a superb view of the valley. View of Consthum.

(4) Turn left (south-west) and ignore the paths leading off the main path.
Be careful at the bend, go straight ahead and begin a tricky descent along winding paths.

(5) Bottom left. 5th sound installation. At the crossroads, turn right, cross the bridge and turn immediately right. Take the path a little further on your left and climb up to the Saint-Michel Chapel. Continue along the path after visiting the chapel. Descend onto the forest path and continue climbing.

(6) At the bend, go straight ahead towards the uphill path. Long balcony path for 1.2 km which arrives at a fork, take the left.

(7) At the next fork, also on the left, cross the ford and continue to the forest path. The trail markings end here.

No markings

(8) Take the path on the left, ignoring the path on the right of the Escapardenne Lee Trail.
At the next junction, take the middle path. Go around the hairpin bend and continue.

(9) At the fork, go up to the right. Follow the path. Further on, turn left at the fork. At the road, go downhill along it until you pass the church. Take the road on your right after the church but before the "Kiirfechtswee" bend. At the bottom of the road, first turn right then left to take the road below.

(10) Take the path directly on your right, passing in front of the cemetery. Continue straight downhill. At the first crossroads, go straight ahead, and at the next one, turn left.

Markings: White Wave on Blue Rectangle

Go downhill, pass a few houses and turn left at the bridge. Follow the river to the crossroads.

(11) Continue straight ahead. On the forest path, discover the 6th and 7th sound installations.

(12) Take the path on your right and climb up to Molberlee. Continue this long 1.1 km climb until you reach the road in front of the farm sheds. Turn right and enter the village. Go straight ahead at the first crossroads.

(1) At the main road, leave the marked trail, turn right and return to the church and its car park. (S/E).

A magnificent hike completed on 30 September 2023. Under beautiful sunshine, magnificent landscapes, forests, ridge paths. Quite physically demanding but completed in 3 hours and 50 minutes.
I highly recommend it.

A fairly strenuous hike (especially towards the end) but very beautiful. Moleberlee alone is worth the trip.
The trail is a bit muddy in places but still passable.
Good hiking boots are essential and walking poles are a plus.

Very beautiful, very "sporty" route with several steep sections (not suitable for everyone), especially at levels 6 and 9.
Distance as advertised (13.45 km) (Garmin Trek) completed in 4 hours.
The coordinates of the starting point are also N49.56.756 - E006.04.760
Please note that the GPX track is not always accurate in relation to the terrain, but the description is well done and very useful.
The "audio tour" is worthwhile as it is well done and enhances the hike
Part "9" is not recommended in high winds as there is a lot of windfall.

A very beautiful hike that we did in the opposite direction (by mistake).
Very few people.
My first hike in the Grand Duchy.
La Molberlee alone is worth the detour... magnificent!
If you know of any other walks with this type of terrain (rocky ridge), I'm interested.
Thank you for this hike!

Indeed, this is a physically demanding hike due to the ascents.
Right up to the very end.
