The Berthe Valley starting from Rougemont

From the Church of Notre-Dame (listed building), you can admire the traditional architecture of Vichères, built from red sandstone and white stone. This rural route, with its ups and downs, links Rougemont Hill (the highest point in Eure-et-Loir at 285 m) to the picturesque Berthe Valley via sunken paths.

A very beautiful hike! The landscapes are varied and the roads are very quiet.
The paths are muddy at this time of year (mid-December), so make sure you wear suitable footwear.
Don't forget to climb to the top of Rougemont hill, the highest point in Eure-et-Loir (285m).

A brilliant hike, quite a long way. On the winding roads, we only passed one car as we reached the finish.
I loved it, I’ll definitely do it again 🥰🏞️ – it felt like being in a different region

A lovely short walk along paths and quiet country lanes. Beautiful farms and traditional Perche-style houses
From this highest point in the department, the view is breathtaking.
