Access via the narrow, winding road clearly signposted "Le Peuil" from Seyssins or Claix. A car park has been provided at the starting point, altitude 931, to the left of the communications pylon.
(S/E) At the exit of the car park, a path climbs up to your left across fields, heading west, and is particularly well marked (green and white signs). Continue to the summit.
(1) Turn right (north) and follow the ridge, which offers beautiful views of the mountains and the peat bog on your left. Continue along the path on the right until you reach the end of the field.
(2) Take the path and turn left onto the track heading west. You will reach the Sentier du Périmètre.
(3) Take it on the left (south-west) towards Savoyères (sign: 3.67 km). Reach the Clairière des Douze Apôtres (see possible variations in the Practical Information section).
(4) Continue straight ahead on trail no. 3 uphill, ignoring the yellow cross on a tree
You will soon reach another fork; take the main path on the left. Look for two red stripes on a few trees on your right, with a sign marked "12", indicating a forest plot. You will then reach another fork.
(5) Take the path slightly to the right going uphill to the south, ignoring the path going downhill to the left. At the next crossroads, you will find a path markedPR® Jaune.
(6) Take it on the right and continue towards Savoyères (sign: 1.69 km). Stay on this good path, ignoring the paths on either side, and you will reach a new fork.
(7) Leave the path leading directly to Savoyères on your right. Continue straight ahead towards the Col de l'Arc and the Combe du Cerisier, heading south-west. After crossing two streams and a final steep climb, you will come to a wide forest path. Turn left, heading south.
At an elevation of 1,111 metres, you will come to another fork at Bois de la Pissarde: continue straight ahead, heading south towards Savoyères (2.46 km), ignoring the path that climbs to the right. After two hairpin bends, you will come to another crossroads.
(8) Take the path back to the left towards the north. Be careful, it is a little hidden at the end of a large wood storage or turning area (Biaucoin sign, 1040m, direction Savoyères at 1.76km).
Continue along this path, ignoring any other paths that branch off. To do this, follow the yellow markings on the trees. You will reach Savoyères.
(9) Cross an area that looks like a courtyard to reach the road. Follow it northwards (sign for Savoyères alt: 862m, Le Peuil 2.55km, the peat bog 2.6km). You will reach the Ferme du Crêt du Loup.
(10) Stay on the road to return to the car park (S/E).
