The starting point for this walk is located just before you enter Tibi, taking a small dirt track on the left after crossing the bridge.
To get to this starting point by car, see the ‘Practical Information’ section below.
(S/E) From the car park, continue along the dirt track at a leisurely pace.
(1) Take care at this point: leave the track and head to the right to find a path that leads into the forest. A short while later, you’ll notice the wheel ruts from carts carved into the stone.
(2) Turn right here to reach a footpath a little further on; then head left and walk through the middle of an almond orchard.
(3) Go through the gate on the right or left. The owner has thus prohibited access to motor vehicles. Further on, you’ll come to another gate where you’ll need to use the pedestrian gap on the right. As things stand, the owner still allows hikers to pass through: please respect the area by leaving no trace of your visit. (There are many other places where it is marked: ‘private property’)
(4) Cross the river. You’ll be crossing from one bank to the other several times. As the crossing is over stones, please take care. Furthermore, depending on the river’s flow, the crossing may be more or less difficult if you wish to avoid getting your feet wet.
(5) The Carbonnel mill. It was one of the busiest mills of all.
(6) Opposite, on the other side of the river, is the Grotte de l’Encantada, also known as the Cova de la Senyora Encat.
(7) The Marques Mill.
(8) David’s mill.
