To get to Vesc from Roche-Saint-Secret, take the D330. After passing the Ferme de Pracoutel, at the end of the bend, take the road on the right and park in the first car park on the right.
(S/E) Follow the road for a few metres, then cross the stream (goat path, red/yellow markings). Follow a fairly wide path, then turn right quickly and cross the hedge to continue climbing with it on your left.
(1) Pass a hillside water reservoir on your left. The narrower path climbs through the woods on the mountainside. You will reach a fork a few metres after turning onto the other side of the mountain ridge.
(2) Take the path on the left, still marked in red and yellow, and leave the path with the red and yellow cross on your right (return). The trail continues through the woods to reach the ridge, curving to the left and then along the edge of the slope. Turn right and follow the ridge more or less until you reach the first flat area, which is also a take-off area for paragliders (picnic possible).
(3) Descend from this point along the track to Col Gauthier at the bottom of the valley.
(4) Continue right on the downhill track, then ignore the path that branches off to the right at a fork. You will reach a DFCI reserve and the asphalt road.
(5) Continue along the small road and reach the next fork.
(6) Turn right uphill onto Chemin d'Auvergne, ignore Chemin de Germaine on the right and reach a hairpin bend.
(7) Leave the track and take a path on the left that turns into a trail. Cross a gully and continue along the mountainside.
(8) At the fork, continue right, go around Montagne du Ruy and rejoin the route you took earlier.
(2) From there, return via the same route as on the way there (S/E).
