(S/E) Start: Chassagné silos car park, at a place called Plaisance. Leave the dead-end path and head towards the D 204.
(1) Cross over and take the “white” path opposite to return towards the railway line and follow it to the SNCF pylon.
(2) At the pylon, turn right onto a formerly tarmac-surfaced track. After about 300m, you’ll reach a junction.
(3) Leave the road on your left and the track on your right to continue straight ahead on a dirt farm track. When you reach Route de Cassemortier, which leads to Clavette, first turn right then left and follow Chemin de Coupe Gorge straight ahead to the St Rogatien silo.
(4) At the silo, cross Route de Haute Garde (D310)8 and continue straight ahead to the D108 (ZI Périgny - Clavette). Cross the D108 straight ahead and arrive at a crossroads.
(5) Take the first track on the right, pass under the high-voltage power lines and continue straight on to reach Pommerou (beautiful stone houses). Walk through the entire hamlet.
(6) On leaving Pommerou, turn right after a bend. Turn into the first road on the left 250m before reaching the D108. At the first houses in Clavette, turn right along the edge of the estate with grey wooden houses, Rue des Palènes.
(7) At the hairpin bend, in front of the glass recycling bins in the Rue des Palènes housing estate, take a path on the right across the fields, up to the hedge. Continue left until you reach the D108. Cross the road and continue to the very end of Rue de la Laiterie.
Turn right onto Route de Cassemortier. After 350m, take the first left.
(8) At the small copse, turn right, pass one of the region’s last vineyards, then follow the path alongside a second small copse.
(9) At the pumping station, turn left and, at the end of the path, left again. At the first fork in the path, take the right-hand path towards the village of Chassagné, visible a few hundred metres away. Turn right again before the Route de La Jarrie (D 204).
(10) The path joins the original route; follow it to the left, alongside the railway line and then the D 204.
(S/E) At the junction, cross over to reach the silo car park.
