Park in the Saint-Jean des Sables car park in Angoulins sur Mer.
(S/E) Take the coastal path on the dyke heading south towards Châtelaillon.
(1) Pass in front of Fort Saint-Jean and walk along the large beach at Châtelaillon. Admire the casino and the typical architecture of the old holiday homes before arriving at the port.
(2) Continue along the coastal path to Port des Boucholeurs.
(3) Follow the quays to the small Place Orly André-Hesse, leaving the seafront. Pass in front of the Le Poséidon bar and head towards the dead-end street on the left.
(4) After a few metres, turn right onto Sentier du Petit Bois, which leads to the start of a mall that you will walk up. At the roundabout, continue straight ahead on Allée du Comte de Dunois until you reach the end.
(5) Turn left, walk along the cemetery and continue along the one-way street.
(6) At the end, turn right onto Avenue des Boucholeurs towards the Étangs de la Rosière.
(7) Walk along the Marais d'Angoute to the roundabout and turn left towards the seafront, still on Avenue des Boucholeurs. Cross Allée de Montmeillant and continue along Rue de Chinon.
(8) Turn right onto Boulevard de Lattre de Tassigny, Châtelaillon's main street. Pass the church and continue along Boulevard de la Libération to cross the village.
(9) At the Gare roundabout, opposite the park, turn left to reach the seafront (Boulevard de la Mer) by crossing the park to rejoin the outward route, which you will follow in the opposite direction to the Saint-Jean des Sables car park (S/E).
