Departure from La Chapelle-près-Sées, after the cemetery, Rue du Champ Copin (RD742 towards Beauvais). Parking in front of the cemetery or a little further along the road on the right.
(S/E) Follow Rue du Champ Copin north-west to a place called Beauvais.
(1) At the crossroads, turn right towards La Norgère and follow Rue de Beauvais north-east (ignore the roads leading off to the left). Continue, and after La Norgère, leave Rue des Soucis on your right; continue to the next crossroads.
(2) Turn onto the dirt track that branches off to the left of the road. The track then turns north at Ruisseau de la Lavanderie and rejoins the road at Maison Berry (viewpoint overlooking Sées Cathedral).
(3) After Maison Berry, take the first road on the left before the waste collection centre, then take the first path on the left heading south-west. You will reach the road.
(4) Follow it to the right towards Escure. At the intersection, turn left towards Le Gué and then take the first right (the road ends in a cul-de-sac towards Le Gué). At the intersection, turn left towards Les Hamardières.
(5) Turn right onto the tree-lined path (elevation 224) and ignore the path leading to Les Hamardières. Continue south-west and pass close to the Carrières de Fontaineriant (Armorican sandstone quarry).
Keep to the right and ignore the paths that branch off to the left. At the fork, follow the path on the right to the road (D741). Turn left towards Le Bouillon and follow it to the Boissière crossroads.
(6) After a bridge (Vandes stream), turn right onto the dead-end path towards La Boissière. Continue along the path after La Boissière and cross the stream, then head north-west (passage at elevation 239). Continue to the left at the edge of the forest, ignoring the paths that branch off to the north (on the right). The path curves and heads south, passing in front of a pond (on the right). Follow the road towards Le Bouillon to the south and reach this hamlet. Turn right in front of the cemetery.
(7) Take the first road on the right. At the next crossroads, La Chênaie, turn right again. Head towards the square. You will reach the crossroads of Route Forestière de la Vielle. At the fork, turn left towards the racecourse. You will reach a crossroads with four paths.
(8) Turn left towards Gros Aunay. Continue along the path after passing through the village. At the Heunière crossroads, turn left to return to the crossroads before La Chênaie. Turn right and head towards Le Bouillon.
(7) Continue straight ahead and you will soon reach the last houses in Le Bouillon. At the fork, turn left and continue eastwards.
(9) At the crossroads, go straight ahead (D741) and continue straight on to La Monnerie and then La Vallière.
(10) After La Vallière, turn left heading north towards Sées. The Écouves animal park is on the right (300 animals in semi-free range, picnic facilities available). You will reach the Y-junction at La Cheunière.
(11) Turn right towards La Cheunière and stay on this road until you reach Le Tertre.
(12) Ignore the roads branching off to the left and continue to the initial crossroads at Beauvais.
(1) Follow the same route as on the way out to return to the car park (S/E).
