The walk starts from the car park behind the multi-purpose hall in Lignières-la-Carelle. Nearby, you will find a table where you can enjoy a picnic in a quiet spot before setting off or on your return.
(S/E) Head to the back of the car park where you will find a small grassy path about 300 m long that will take you to the Plaine housing estate. At the end of the path, turn left for 100 m to take another path at the back of the housing estate. After 200 m, you will arrive at the Sente de la Juisselerie.
(1) Take this path, turning right. You will then pass behind the magnificent Manoir de la Juisselerie (16th century), surrounded by its moat. Continue along this path, which becomes grassy, turns left and leads to a place called Le Moulin du Bois.
(2) Cross the road and admire the magnificent Saint-Jacques cross as you pass. The path, still grassy, then takes you to the Rousselière farm.
(3) Turn left and you will arrive at a place called "Percé".
(4) Cross the road again and continue along the path. After about 200 metres, turn right and follow the small hedge lined with a few oak trees. At the end, turn left towards the 4G antenna. Walk past this pylon and the water treatment plant to reach the entrance to the village of Lignières-la-Carelle.
(5) Walk to the war memorial along the footpath. Turn right, passing by the church (11th century) and in front of the town hall.
(6) About 200 metres after the town hall, turn left onto a path and follow it for a good kilometre.
(7) After a barrier blocking the way, turn right onto the Toile road and continue for 300 metres before turning left. Cross the hamlet of Les Aitres. Take a path on the left (after no. 11). Continue for 200 metres and turn right.
(8) Then, a little further on, turn left onto a path between two hedges. This path will take you to the village cemetery, passing by a beautiful pond where you may see ducks or herons.
(9) Walk past the cemetery and continue along the footpath to the centre of the village to find the car park behind the community hall. We hope you enjoyed this little walk! (S/E).
