Park in the car park at Lac de Sainte-Suzanne.
(S/E) Join the lake path and follow it for about fifty metres. Turn left after the fenced-off area and take the ascending track suitable for vehicles. Please note: this forest is a popular spot for mountain bikers. There are several junctions; ignore them and stay on the ascending track suitable for vehicles. You will reach a road.
(1) Leave the track, turn right and follow the road with care. You will very quickly reach the sign: Site de Brauch, climbing site of the Club Alpin Français.
(2) Turn left and, via a few steep steps, reach the foot of a cliff. At this point, turn left and follow the cliff face. The steep path is clearly there, but in places it is hard to see. Usethe Visorando app if necessary. You’ll reach a cairn at the summit.
(3) Turn right and follow the path along the ridge line. The path runs slightly below the ridge; feel free to stop and walk a few metres to the right to take in the magnificent views of the lake and the lush green surroundings. Walk along a beautiful promontory, then past the summit with its large cairn, before descending back towards the road.
(4) Turn left and then immediately left again to take a very beautiful path nestled in the dense Blanquettes Forest. You’ll reach a junctionof paths.
(5) Carry on straight ahead and join the Chemin Blanquette. Continue left along this path to join the Chemin des Riaux.
(6) Turn left again onto this track and you’ll reach a junction.
(7) Turn left, then, a few metres further on, turn right to take the track parallel to the Chemin des Riaux. You will then come to a road.
(8) Continue for about 20 metres and first turn right then left to take the descending forest path leading to the car park on the shores of Lake Sainte-Suzanne (S/E).
