Circular route around Le Défens in Cabasse

(S/E) Start at the village hall. Head left across the car park, cross the D13 with care, and continue straight ahead along Rue du Vallon until you reach the bend in the road.

(1) Start turning right and follow the steep climb up the tarmac path.

(2) At the junction, take the track through the woods on the right.

(3) At the antennas on the right, enjoy the view of the village of Cabasse, and continue along this track, initially heading north-east.

(4) Turn left towards the north-west, then left again towards the south-west, then right towards the west, and arrive at a crossroads of paths.

(5) Follow the path on the right for 750 m.

(6) Turn left and continue to the canal.

(7) Take a path on the left for 300 m; the canal will be on your right; cross it so that it is on your left.

(8) Leave the canal, turn left, and follow the track to the junction from the outward journey.

(2) Turn right and, following the route in the opposite direction to the outward journey, head back to the car park at the Cabasse village hall (S/E).
