Description of the walk

The trail starts from the Promenade de Vérimande, where you can park. The “Espace trail” sign marks the start of the walk.

Follow the “Trail 11” signs

(S/E) Head south towards Pré Martin.

(1) When you reach Pré Martin, take the Chemin d’en Tresclenx on the left towards La Buissière and immediately turn onto a path on the right. Continue the climb.

(2) Once you reach La Buissière, continue along the path on the right towards Source de Combe Renard and join a forest track.

(3) Follow it to the right as far as Source Combe Renard

(4) Continue along the forest track, which turns right then left and leads to a car park.

(5) Turn right and begin the descent along the Route de la Colle Basse to the Promenade de Vérimande (S/E).

Breathtaking views at an altitude of nearly 2,000 metres over the Mercantour: the Grand Coyer, the Mole, the Pic de Chamatte, the Cheval Blanc, the Montagne de Cordeil and the Estrop in the distance, to name the most important. In spring, the flora is in full bloom.
