Park in the Les Ferres car park, next to the "Mont Saint-Michel" restaurant.
(S/E) Head east then north to cross the village.
(1) Pass the Saint-Luci Chapel and reach the Brèche du Mont Saint-Michel crossroads (marker 117).
(2) Take the path opposite, which will take you under the canopy of chestnut trees to the old Ferres mill on the banks of the Estéron.
(3) At marker 118, continue straight on to the mill.
(4) Retrace your steps.
(3) Turn left, step over two or three trees and follow the path eastwards. The path, dotted with several ruins, winds its way through former farmland, remnants of what was once an important agricultural activity. Be careful as it is easy to lose the path. Continue to a fork (marker 101).
(5) Follow the track on the left towards Pont de la Cerise and the start of the gorge of the same name, a very popular spot in summer.
(6) Take the track back in the opposite direction towards Les Ferres.
(5) Continue on the left and carry on until you reach a crossroads (marker 102).
(7) Take the path on the left towards Bouyon, and take the opportunity to admire Notre-Dame du Brec, a unique oratory.
(8) Continue straight ahead on the path until you reach a crossroads (marker 103).
(9) Take the very steep path on the left, descending to the banks of the Esteron.
(10) Turn back.
(9) Back at marker 103, continue straight ahead towards "Bouyon direct" on a beautiful winding path that climbs steadily through the dense woods of Les Bourlenqs to the Col de l'Âne road.
(11) Turn right towards the village of Bouyon. Leave the road and follow a path on the left that leads to the cemetery, then continue along Rue Principale. Take the opportunity to visit the village and enjoy some remarkable views. Pass a bar-tobacconist-restaurant and the town hall on your right.
(12) Pass the fountain on the Bezaudun road (D8), which provides fresh water.
(13) Turn right and follow the yellow markings. The path winds its way up and is partly paved or concrete.
(14) Take the path that climbs up to the Végay canal track under the shade of large oak trees.
(15) Cross the canal track and take the small road that climbs through sheep pastures.
(16) At the fork, take the magnificent stone path on the left, which is worthy of being classified as a historic site. At marker 100, turn right towards Les Ferres, descend and rejoin the Vegay canal path (marker 116).
(17) Take the track on the left and continue to the junction.
(18) Marker 115 no longer exists, but a sign for "retenue collinaire à ..." (hill reservoir at ...) indicates the start of the path on the right that passes in front of this reservoir. Continue to the next crossroads (marker 45).
(19) Turn left towards Les Ferres.
(20) At Col des Ferres, after the cemetery, take the shortcut that leads to the car park. Be careful, you have to take the stairs below the restaurant to go back up to the car park (S/E).
