Once in the village of Bouyon, it is fairly easy to find parking spaces. There is even a small car park near the town hall. I personally set the start of the route at marker no. 1.
(S/E) Walk through the village along the main street, past the town hall and on to marker 5 at the bend in the Route de Bézaudon (D8).
(1) Take the stairs on the right, then Route de l'Aiguillète on the right, then Route de l'Aiguillette on the left. Arrive in front of marker 6 and go up Sentier du Seuillet on the right.
(2) Cross this locality following the streets and continue north-west until you reach a wide path.
(3) Cross this path to find the trail that climbs steeply to a plateau and a fork.
(4) At marker 100, continue to the right and resume the climb to the Estellier ridge. Walk along the cliff and then begin the descent due west to a crossroads of tracks and paths.
(5) Cross the track and head towards Les Ferres, which you will reach after passing markers 116 and 45, arriving at the entrance to the village and the D1 road near the Col des Ferres.
(6) At marker 44, cross the road and turn right onto a wide track closed to motor traffic, which descends gently to a fork at marker 102.
(7) Take the path on the right that approaches the Gorges de l'Estéron to the Oratoire de Notre-Dame-du-Brec, a 3-metre-high column.
(8) Continue along the ledge and you will come to a multiple crossroads at marker 103, the lowest point of the route.
(9) Go up the path on the right with its many hairpin bends.
Note: for about one kilometre, the route on the IGN map does not correspond to the one you are taking.
Continue to follow the markings. After a final steep climb, return to the entrance to the village and a road.
(10) At marker 2, continue right on the small road and, after a few dozen metres, take a parallel path on the left (not marked).
(11) Take a small path (unmarked) that passes behind the cemetery to reach the village's main street and the starting point (S/E).
