Park in one of the two car parks to the north of the village.
(S/E) From the car park, take the stairs on the left, pass to the left of the church and cross the village towards the south-east to reach the path.
(1) At the south-eastern exit of the village, the trail starts at marker 9. After about 400 metres, cross a road and continue along the trail opposite. At the bottom of the valley, join the stream bed.
(2) Walk along the stream for a few metres to the right before crossing it to rejoin the path on the left, which climbs up the other side of the valley, offering beautiful views of the village.
(3) After reaching a very open plateau, you will come to a track that you should follow to the right. Leave it after about 100 metres and continue on the path towards the east.
(4) At the intersection with marker 109, take the road on the right, pass by the houses of Les Combes and continue to marker 135.
(5) At the junction with marker 135, turn left heading due south.
(6) To stay on the marked trail, turn left until you reach a fork.
(7) Leave the marked trail and take the one on the right, passing under a power line and past a sheepfold.
(8) 50 metres after the sheepfold, leave the track and head for the 1028-metre summit, marked by an imposing cairn.
The view to the north is splendid, with views of the village of Bouyon and Mont Vial.
Then return to the track and continue to the right until you reach Colle de Menon.
(9) Head north into the glacis without trying to stick to the path further west, which is almost impossible to find at this point. Following the GPS track, you will easily find the marked path after about 400 m. Pass under a power line and, shortly after, turn west.
(10) At this crossroads, a sign indicates the path leading to the Notre-Dame Chapel. Take this path and join a road, which you follow to the right.
(11) Leave the road before a wide bend and follow the path northwards to the village.
(12) Leave the path momentarily to visit the pretty Notre Dame Chapel. Then return to the path to reach the starting point (S/E) by crossing the village from the south, which allows you to admire the castle as you pass.
