Description of the walk

The starting point is located in front of the main entrance to Habsheim Cemetery, at the foot of the Sainte-Marie Chapel, Rue de la Chapelle. There are a few parking spaces there where you can leave your vehicle.

(S/E) Opposite the cemetery, turn right towards the traffic lights and the crossroads. Cross carefully using the pedestrian crossing and continue straight ahead towards Eschentzwiller on Rue d'Eschentzwiller (D56.2). Now follow the Anneau Vert signs. Ignore Rue de Landser on the right and, just before leaving the village of Habsheim, turn right onto Rue des Prés and continue to the next crossroads, at the stream.

(1) Turn diagonally left onto a dirt track. Turn diagonally left again at the next junction and you will reach a Y-junction.

(2) Go diagonally down to the left, then immediately take the path that goes diagonally up to the right. At the end of this path, which runs alongside a field, turn left at the T-junction towards Eschentzwiller. At the next T-junction, turn right. At the third T-junction, go up to the right towards Rixheim. Ignore the two paths that turn right and then left and continue straight on towards the relay antenna.

(3) At the four-way crossroads, not far from the foot of the relay antenna, ignore the path marked with a blue cross and continue straight ahead towards Rixheim. At the top of the path, continue straight ahead at the crossroads. After a downward slope, the path turns right. Just after this turn, take the first path on the left. At the end of this path, you will reach a T-junction with a calvary and benches, as well as a sign indicating the location of "Belle Vue d'Habsheim".

(4) Turn right. Leave the Anneau Vert (Green Ring) trail and follow the Losange Jaune (Yellow Diamond) trail towards Habsheim. Continue downhill until you reach the paved road, via Rue du Colonel Fabien. Pass a car park reserved for walkers, then the Résidence Bellevue. Ignore Rue des Gardes-Vignes, which turns left, and continue straight ahead towards the bell tower until you reach the stop sign at the T-junction.

(5) Turn right towards the bell tower, into Rue du Général de Gaulle (D201). Leave the yellow diamond markings, which come to an end here. Carefully cross the departmental road and turn left into Rue du Maréchal Foch (D56.2), just before the church, towards Petit Landau. Continue to a roundabout. Turn diagonally right onto Rue de Kembs, towards Collège Henri Ullrich. At the next roundabout, take the second street on the right, Rue de la Chapelle, towards Rixheim. You will return to your starting point at the end of this street (S/E).
