The walk starts in Jumeauville, a small town in the Yvelines department. Park in the town hall square.
(S/E) With your back to the town hall, walk up the square to the foot of Rue de l'Église. From there, walk to the beautiful wash house located 50 metres behind you when facing the church, and then back again.
Then, head up towards the church along the aptly named Rue de l'Église. This street climbs with the church on your right. At the top of this street is the cemetery. Continue straight ahead along the path that extends from the street.
Once in the fields, continue straight ahead for about 2 km until you reach a T-junction at the edge of the forest.
At this point, join theGR®26, marked in red and white.
(1) Take theGR®26to the left, which then enters the forest. Continue along this path through the undergrowth for about 1 km until you reach a crossroads. TheGR®26branches off to the left.
(2) Turn left, continuing on the GR®. After about 600m, you will come to another crossroads where theGR® turns right.
(3) Follow theGR® trail to the right, up the path. Pass a campsite (more like a mobile home park) on your right. Continue along the "Canada" campsite until you reach the D139.
(4) Turn left onto the D139. The road descends slightly. Follow the road for about 300 metres. Ignore a first path that is not very visible on the left, going up towards the forest.
(5) 10 metres further on, turn left onto a narrow path, marked in yellow, which descends quite steeply towards the forest. At the bottom of the descent, the path widens and becomes tarmac. It continues like this until it crosses the D158.
(6) Cross this road and continue opposite on the path that climbs back up into the forest. Continue for about 1 km. Pass under the high-voltage power lines and, shortly afterwards, you will come to a small road at Croix de Jumeauville. Cross this road and continue opposite until you reach the next path.
(7) Turn right to descend to Goussonville. Follow this path, then the streets that extend it, to the roundabout at the bottom of Rue du Bois de l'Aulnaie. Just opposite is the large and beautiful wash house of Goussonville, below a small park with benches and tables, an ideal place for a picnic. The interior of the12th-century church is worth seeing, if it is open. It feels as if you are swaying, but in fact the supports of the vaulted ceiling are slanted.
(8) Leave the church via the path just opposite the exit. The path continues along Rue des Ouches, which you follow until you reach the D130. Cross this road and take the path opposite.
After about 300 metres, the path you want to follow branches off slightly to the left, where you will see signs saying "private property".
This fairly wide path climbs gently towards the plateau and fields, passes under a power line and ends at another path crossing perpendicularly.
(9) Turn right and continue for about 800 metres until you reach a TOTAL storage centre and an electricity substation.
(10) Turn left. After about 700 metres, you will come to a small tarmac road. Cross it and continue along the path directly opposite.
(11) Turn left onto the first path you come to, about 800 metres from the road you crossed earlier. At the next junction, after passing under a power line, turn left, then slightly right 150 metres further on, following the tarmac road.
Pass under another high-voltage power line, then shortly afterwards, level with the farmhouse (a farm where you can pick your own fruit and vegetables). Continue to the next crossroads
(12) Turn right to descend towards the centre of Jumeauville via Rue d'Hargeville.
(13) Turn left onto Rue du Pont to reach Grande Rue, which leads back to the town hall square (S/E).
