Parking at the junction of the D70 and the road signposted Forêt de Saoû, 4 km east of Saoû. Park next to SOS post no. 9748.
(S/E) Cross the bridge and turn right towards Pas de Lestang and Petit Pomerolle. Follow the path that starts at the edge of the stream towards Pas de Lestang. At the sign, take the path on the left that climbs towards Pointe des Étangs and Petit Pomerolle, marked in yellow.
The path crosses the pass, then descends to Pointe des Étangs. At this crossroads, continue along the path that branches off slightly to the left towards Ferme de Lestang and Petit Pomerolle.
(1) At the Ferme de Lestang sign, the markings join a paved road and then immediately turn left onto a dirt path. Go around the gate and head towards Pas de Berlhe - Petit Pomerolle and Grand Pomerolle, still following the yellow markings.
The path runs alongside a vineyard and then climbs up, going around the farm. When you reach a gate, go through it and climb up to the left into the oak forest (this section is on private property, but passage is tolerated). The trail emerges after passing through another gate. The rest of the climb alternates between gentle slopes and very steep sections until you reach Pas de Berlhe.
(2). After enjoying the view, take the path on the right that climbs towards Le Grand Pomerolle (no more signposts). The path is very steep in places but shaded. When you reach the summit, enjoy the panoramic view.
(3) Descend towards Pas de Berlhe via the same route.
(2) Continue along the path opposite, which heads towards Le Petit Pomerolle. The path, through boxwood and oak trees, is a little technical in places, then comes out at a crossroads at the foot of Le Petit Pomerolle. A sign indicates the direction of the Pointe du Petit Pomerolle. This is a great spot to enjoy the views of Saoû.
(4) Go back down to the crossroads and turn left to start the descent towards Les Clos and Le Pertuis. The descent is much easier, sometimes in the open and sometimes in the forest, until you reach a track on a bend. Continue straight ahead downhill.
(5) 50 m further on, at the Les Clos junction, take the track on the left towards Pont de Pézillet and Le Pertuis. Further on, leave the track that climbs up to the left and continue downhill to the right. The track turns into a path, then back into a track again to reach an unmarked junction. Take the track on the right that descends. It joins a path coming from the right. Continue on the left on flat ground to reach the Pont de Pezillet sign.
(6). At this point, take the paved road on the left which joins the Le Pertuis sign next to the bridge and the car park (S/E).
