Access by car (after the Col de la Mort d’Imbert, drive 100 m and turn left, then drive another 200 m.
The car park can easily accommodate a dozen cars.
Description of the route in a clockwise direction.
(S/E) Two paths and two tracks lead from the car park: take the path on the left with the barrier. Follow the gently descending stony path for 700 m until you reach a bend.
(1) Take the zigzagging footpath on the left and return to within 20 m of the main track.
(2) Turn onto the path on the left, passing by the wooden tables. Continue along this path for 1 km. It climbs to the top of the hill (panoramic view) then descends behind it to a junction.
(3) Continue straight on, then, 150 m further on, turn onto the path on the left and arrive at Pélicier Castle.
(4) Walk around it and take the path leading off to the left. This path forms a large 1.5 km circular loop over fairly flat ground and returns 150 m below the château, at a cistern, at the crossroads with a bench.
(5) There are two paths on the right and the track takes a wide bend to the left. Take this slightly downhill track for 100 m.
(6) Turn off onto the path on the right (signposted ‘rond point des bonbons’), crossing a small wooden footbridge. Continue due north until you reach a fork.
(7) At this fork, take the right-hand path, which curves sharply, and continue first south-eastwards before making a circular loop to join a wider path.
(8) Turn left. 100 to 150 m further on, there is a bench where you can rest. The next path is on the right when you reach this bench. Continue south-east to reach a track.
(9) Cross it and continue south-west until you reach a junction with three paths.
(10) Take the left-hand path and you will come to a fork.
(11) Turn left and follow this path, which forms a circular path and leads to a hairpin bend.
(12) Go down the path on the left; the car park is 300 m below (S/E).
