Park in the Bois d'Hyver car park, the second car park on the left when coming from Larchant towards Rocher de Dame Jouanne, after the pumping station.
(1) Leave the car park, take the road on the left and then turn onto the first path on the right marked in blue. At the first crossroads, turn left and continue to follow the blue markings. The path is pleasant, lined with wooden posts.
(2) At the next crossroads, turn right onto Chemin de la Chapelle-La-Reine, where you leave the markings. At another crossroads, turn left towards Villiers-sous-Grez. Follow this path until you reach the junction with theGR®13.
(3) Head towards Dame Jouanne on the left. Cross the Dame Jouanne massif, following the blue and white-red double markings. Pass numerous rocks. At one of the viewpoints, look for the white sand patch (south-east direction) called "Le Mont Blanc", which we will pass. At another viewpoint, you can see the ruins of the Basilica of Saint-Mathurin de Larchant. At the exit of the massif, continue to follow the double markings and turn right.
Leave Chalet Jobert on your right, cross the road and take a sandy path, theGR®13marked in white and red. This path is bordered by a fence on the left.
(4) At the end of the wire fence, take the path on the left, still following the double markings. After a few metres, continue straight ahead (south) following the white and red markings and leave the blue path turning right. After about 200 metres, turn right. Cross a perpendicular path and continue south.
(5) At a T-junction, you will find blue markings. Follow them to the right, while theGR®13 trailgoes left. Cross Mont Simonet. At the bottom of the hill, you will cross a path; continue straight ahead.
(6) At a T-junction, the blue markings turn left, turn right. At the first junction, turn left (plot no. 136). Continue straight ahead, leaving a path on your left. Find the blue markings again, take the path on the left and continue along this very narrow path marked in blue. The markings are very clear.
(7) You will come to a sandy plain called "Le Mont Blanc". The blue markings are missing (due to a lack of support), but you will find them again on the other side. Follow the edge of the woods on the left and find the blue-marked path on the left.
(8) Follow the path on the right, still marked in blue, and continue up a steep climb. At the top, you will find double markings; take the path on the left. After a steep but pleasant descent, you will find a path; follow it, leaving the blue markings and following theGR®13markings. You will come to rocks again; follow theGR®13markings on the right.
(9) On the left, you can see the Rocher de l'Éléphant, recognisable by its shape. Continue to follow the markings. On the left, take the steps leading up to the Rocher de la Justice. At the top, the markings are less frequent for the descent, but you can see the path to take on the right from above. Take this path and find a trail on the left markedGR®13. When you reach a path, take it to the left, and immediately after, take a trail on the right that leads back to a path marked in blue. Follow it to the right and you will arrive at the car park.
