Park in the car park at the Maison Forestière des Barnolets.
(S/E) Head north along the Chemin du Bornage d’Achères and admire ‘Le Majestueux’, a magnificent sessile oak (circumference: 7 m). At the Poteau-Rouge crossroads, take the Route Forestière du Grelot north-eastwards, and amongst the black pine trees, look out for the three grafted trees (circumference: 3.15 m, 3.30 m, 3.50 m).
(1) Take the Route Forestière des Platières south-east and, at the Platières crossroads, turn left onto the Route du Chêne-aux-Chapons heading east, then very quickly onto the Chemin d’Achères, heading north-east: discover the sessile oaks (circumference: 6.00 m, 4.00 m). Continue straight on until you reach the Route Forestière Circulaire, which you should take on the right towards the south-east.
(2) Turn right immediately towards the south onto the Route Forestière du Fourneau, then at the Chêne-aux-Chapons junction, take the Route Clémentine, heading diagonally south-west to join the Route Forestière du Vacher. Follow this road southwards to see a wild cherry tree (circumference: 1.00 m) and a sessile oak (circumference: 3.40 m).
(3) Take the Route Forestière de la Génisse to the right towards the west and look for the service tree (girth: 1.55 m) on the south side. Head towards the boundary path, go straight south and admire the imposing sessile oak (girth: 5.05 m) known as ‘Le Superbe’. Turn back to return to the car park at the Maison Forestière des Barnolets (S/E).
