(S/E). Departure from the car park in the town centre (junction of Rue Henry IV and Rue l'Abbé Malais).
Pass in front of the pretty Clos Normand inn (you can explore the nature reserve by continuing straight ahead; it is on the right after the river).
Take the small passageway on the left and continue straight ahead along Allée Jeanne D'Arc, then continue along Route de la Forêt. After 250 metres, take Chemin d'Imbleval on your left.
Follow the path for about 1,500 metres until you reach Pontrancart Castle. The path turns right and then left.
(1) At the bend, go through the gate and take the path on the right behind the barrier (you can go through). Close the barrier behind you.
Follow the path, which initially runs along the edge of the woods and then climbs into the forest. The path passes through plot 54. Follow the mountain bike trail, then turn left at the top (plot 51) to join the Route des Ligueurs (vehicle access road).
Follow the road for 600 m until you reach an intersection, then turn right onto Route de Mayenne or cut across to reach the playground opposite and follow Route de Mayenne in parallel.
(2) After 500 m, you will reach the road. Turn left for 60 m and then take the path on the right (Route de la Commission). Follow the path for 500 m until you reach an intersection at Rond Duquesne. Continue straight ahead. The path will descend for 1000 m until it reaches the D56.
(3) Turn left onto the D56 for 100 metres, cross over and take the Route de Blainville, which goes uphill.
Follow the road for 1,000 metres.
(4) On the plateau, you will see theGR® du Pays de Bray trail on your right. Follow it for 300 metres. Leave it and take the path on the right, which descends at a sharp angle.
Go down to the D1 road, turn right for 100 m and cross the road to take the Route Des Launay opposite, which descends towards the ponds.
Follow the road, passing in front of the Avizote. Cross the bridge. Follow the green avenue to the right for 100 metres, cross the Route des Launay and take the path to the left of the green avenue.
(5) This path turns left towards the ponds. Please be aware that this is a fishing area, so respect the fishermen.
After 200 m, take the path that branches off to the right. At the end of the path, turn right and then right again between the ponds to go around the large pond on the right. You will see the sailing school, which is our destination.
When you reach the sailing school, cross over and turn right.
(6) Join the green avenue, which we will follow on the left. Follow it into town.
(7) At the end, when you reach the D54, turn right, cross the railway line and continue along Rue Verdier Monetti for 500 metres until you reach the large roundabout on the D1. Turn left towards Martin Eglise/Dieppe, after 50 metres cross and take the path (Rue du Cimetière Anglais) opposite which leads up to the British cemetery.
Climb for 300 m and follow the path that branches off to the left.
(8) At the cemetery, turn right and climb into the forest. Pass to the right of the cistern.
The path is quite steep. After 20 metres, turn left at the intersection (cairn). Follow the path for 200 metres. At the end of the descent, when you reach theGR® trail, turn left and follow the path that runs along the edge of the forest. After 400 metres, you will arrive at the Pyramide road (the pyramid is on your left, accessible via a small path).
(9) Take the road on the right for 200 metres and turn onto the path on the left. Follow it for 600 metres.
(10) At the intersection, continue straight ahead. After 50 metres, in a dip, take the path on the left that descends and follows the furrow. At the intersection, turn left and descend to rejoin the road. The descent is quite steep. Take the road on the right and, after 200 metres, follow it to the left to descend to Martin Eglise and return to the starting point (S/E)
