Park in the Voie Verte car park in Raon-sur-Plaine.
(S/E) Take the Voie Verte, going round the sewage treatment works, and head back up towards the village centre via the path branching off to the left.
(1) When you reach the Grande Rue, cross over and take Rue Aimé Lebegue opposite: follow the red and yellow disc markings. At the sharp bend to the right, ignore the paths branching off to the left and continue along the forest track.
(2) Turn left at the hairpin bend, following the Red Disc markings. You’ll come out onto a forest track; follow it to the right, going round the Rocher de la Hazelle. Turn left at the first junction and go straight on to cut across the Route Forestière de la Hazelle.
(3) Turn left and continue to the end of the track to reach the Rocher de la Hazelle. Retrace your steps and turn left onto the path marked with a Red Triangle and a Red Disc to reach the Dolmen de la Hazelle.
(4) Carry on straight ahead to reach the Col Pourrio.
(5) Head straight on and continue along the Route Forestière de la Hazelle until you reach the Croix Brignon junction with a picnic bench.
(6) Take a short detour to the right to visit the Croix Brignon, then retrace your steps.
(6) Continue left along the Route Forestière de la Croix Brignon, ignoring the Blue Cross path on the left. Carry on to the junction with the Red Ring marked trail.
(7) Take the track on the right, which curves sharply, and follow it uphill to the path branching off to the left leading to the Corbeille bunkers.
Pass between the various blockhouses through the trenches connecting them, or go through the blockhouses themselves (head torch required), then continue to the junction of the Blue Cross and Blue Diamond paths.
(8) Keep going in the same direction along this path to Étoile I, where there is a memorial dedicated to the154th Infantry Regiment.
(10) Continue to the left along the Route Forestière du Lacet (marked with a red saltire and red cross) passing in front of the Stèle des Fusillés.
(11) Leave the Red Saltire behind and turn right, following the Red Cross markings. You will come out onto the Route Forestière de la Crache.
(12) Follow it to the right, then immediately to the left, and continue along the path leading to the Crache waterfall.
(13) Continue along the path marked with Red Cross symbols, go straight on at the first junction, and join the path to the Prés de Kief.
(14) Keep heading in the same direction, continuing the descent towards Raon-sur-Plaine. You’ll come out onto the Grande Rue.
(15) Turn right, then follow Rue des Déportés to the left. Turn left at the three-way junction, staying on the same street, then turn left again to cross the Ruisseau des Gouttes, and arrive at the car park (S/E).
