Park near the Étoile I crossroads, accessible via the Route de Prayé at the Hôtel du Donon.
(S/E) At the memorial commemorating the flag incident, take the path marked Croix Rouge and continue past another memorial, the Stèle des Fusillés, about 200 m further on.
(1) At the fork, leave the track on the right and follow the Chevalet Rouge marked path. At the intersection with the track, turn left for about 50 m.
(2) Turn right onto the path marked with a red cross, continue downhill and pass in front of the Cascade de la Crache waterfall. Continue following the markings until you reach a track and follow it in the same direction.
(3) Continue to the right at the fork and reach Raon-sur-Plaine via Rue de la Cascade.
(4) In the centre of the village, turn left, walk up Grande Rue for about 100 metres, then turn left onto Rue Aimé Lebegue. Follow the red disc markings.
(5) Take the sharp left turn onto the uphill path and join the forest road.
(6) Take this road to the right and reach the next fork after a large left-hand bend.
(7) Head left and follow the uphill path, still marked with red discs. At the forest road, first turn left then right and continue uphill following the same markings until you reach the trail junction.
(8) Turn left and continue straight ahead to Rocher de la Hazelle and its viewpoint over the Plaine valley.
(9) Turn back and then turn left, following the red triangle markings. You will reach the Dolmen de la Hazelle.
(10) Continue along the trail and look for the red disc markings. Follow these markings to the left until you reach Col Pourrio.
(11) Head left and you will come to a crossroads near Croix Brignon.
(12) Leave the red disc markings and stay on the Croix Brignon forest road until you reach the car park at the Étoile I crossroads (S/E).
