Étang de Villefermoy walks

A long walk from station to station, across the Brie plain with its sweeping horizons. Along the way, two superb monuments: the Collegiate Church of Saint-Martin in Champeaux and the fortified castle at Blandy-les-Tours.

Twenty-fourth stage of the Grand Tour of Île-de-France via the GR®11, starting from Donnemarie-Dontilly after spending the night there at the end ofthe previous stage. This stage connects the Montois region to the Seine Valley and Montereau-Fault-Yonne, the confluence of the Seine and Yonne rivers. It thus transitions from an agricultural landscape to a marshland landscape in the valley, ending in a more urban environment.

A hike from station to station high up on the right bank of the Seine, offering beautiful views of the river and the nearby Forest of Fontainebleau. The first and last thirds of the hike follow paths that wind through the forest. In between, the route alternates between fields, woods and residential areas, with some interesting heritage sites.

A hike from station to station, mainly through a section of the Fontainebleau Forest that is not among the most frequented. The forest route alternates between wide paths and trails that wind through rocky terrain. Before that, the crossing of Thomery offers beautiful heritage sites, including its grape walls and some beautiful views of the Seine.

This is the twenty-fifth stage of the Grand Tour of Île-de-France via the GR®11, starting from Montereau station, not far from the confluence of the Seine and the Yonne, and ending at Moret-Veneux-les-Sablons station, not far from the confluence of the Seine and the Loing. The stage, entirely on the GR®11, follows a route on the left bank of the Seine, joining the Orvanne valley a little further south, and returns to Moret-sur-Loing and its beautiful historic centre, following the Canal du Loing on its towpath.

A hike accessible by train, which drops you off in the middle of the forest (Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays). The route mainly follows the Denecourt-Colinet trails, nicknamed the “blue trails” due to the colour of their markings. The path winds through the undergrowth, far from the wide forest lanes, and twists and turns amongst the rocks. At Rocher Cassepot, there are two beautiful spots offering sweeping panoramic views. The end of the hike takes you past several fountains.

Long but very nice hike station to station in the Forest of Fontainebleau. It goes through several viewpoints, ponds, little known corners, stunning scenery.

A circular route through the Forest of Fontainebleau, starting from the SNCF stop in the forest and ending at Bois-le-Roi station. Viewpoints from Rocher Cassepot, Rocher Saint-Germain, Mare aux Sangliers perched on a plateau, Rochers d’Apremont, and Camp de Chailly. Beautiful trees, lovely landscapes, interesting rocks, rock shelters/bivouacs, natural tunnels, and a lovely day out in the countryside.

A very varied hike from station to station. The Chemin des Herces, high up, offers beautiful views of the Seine and the town of Saint-Mammès, where you will find a beautiful Romanesque church. After walking along the Seine, you stroll between the old vine walls of Thomery. You return to the banks of the Seine and the hike ends with a detour into the Fontainebleau National Forest.
