Fourth and final stage of this loop in the Encantats. No technical difficulties except for the length of the descent once you have passed the first pass. Magnificent view of the Encantats in the morning as you leave the refuge.

Magnificent hiking in the Aigüestortes y Estani de Sant Maurici National Park. You'll come across numerous mountain lakes that are unique to this park.

Long stage between Amitges and Colomina: splendid views of the ridges and the valley, crossing summer pastures and forests. Pass by the Estany Llong refuge. The descent, gentle but long, leads to the Colomina refuge, a peaceful haven after a beautiful day in the mountains.

Third and penultimate stage of this loop in the Encantats. Still lots of beautiful lakes and magnificent jagged peaks silhouetted against the sky. Significant elevation gain and sometimes tricky paths with steep slopes, scree and sections with ropes, which fortunately were already in place.

The Colomèrs lake circuit is a massif of mountains arranged in a circle, protecting some fifty lakes ("estanhs") in its bosom. The slow erosion of frost during the Ice Ages has left an inescapable landscape: a high mountain area with high, steep peaks of around 3,000m, such as Creu de Colomèrs, Gran Tuc de Colomèrs and Tuc de Ratera.

No particular difficulties and a beautiful hike. There is a taxi service that will take you from our departure point to our arrival point for €5 per person. It is not possible to drive to the arrival point for the start of the lake hike

This is the second stage of this four-stage loop in the Encantats. There are numerous lakes between these two refuges with beautiful ascents and descents. No technical difficulties, but some scree that is not very pleasant.

This is the first stage of a four-day circuit in the Encantats. It is the shortest stage and can be completed in an afternoon, but it is best not to arrive too late at the large refuges so that you can choose your bed and not have to wait too long for a shower.

A very beautiful hike in Spain, south of Vielha. There are numerous lakes: this is the largest concentration of lakes in the Pyrenees. The peaks are around 3,000 metres high and almost all are only accessible by mountaineering. The refuges are pleasant but small, so it is essential to book several months in advance.

This is a beautiful circuit in the Val d'Aran, through the Vaqueira mountains to Naut and Baish de Bacivèr Lakes.Although it's a short loop, it requires an established fitness level to climb the first half of the route.The effort will be rewarded by the arrival at Lac Naut de Bacivèr, the highest point of the hike.

A classic in the Val d'Aran, an ascent to Lake Besiberri via the Val de Besiberri with magnificent views of the Besiberri, the Sèrra del Molar Gran and the Aneto.

A lovely loop from Espitau de Vielha via Tuc deth port de Vielha (2,606 m), the magnificent Lac Redon (2,230 m), Coret deth Redon (2,454 m) and finally Lac de Rius (2,320 m). It goes up and down, and the slopes are quite steep. Very rocky landscape. Hike done in summer. Lac de Rius, which is pumped in summer and during periods of drought, can see its level drop by several metres, which detracts a little from its charm.

A very pleasant hike along small paths, mostly shaded (August 2025) Passes by Lake Estany de Montcortnes Olive trees, holm oaks, cicadas On the way back, we recommend stopping for refreshments at the BARL'OM inn in Peramea

The hike starts from the car park near the "Sauth deth Pish" waterfall, after 9 km on a tarmac track. After seeing the pretty waterfall on the left as you arrive, the route starts by heading towards the bottom of the valley. There is a first, slightly steep climb through the woods, then you come out into a treeless area. The difficulty lies not in the elevation gain, but in the section between the end of the forest and the bridge that takes you to the other side, which is on the side of the mountain and quite narrow. However, if you take care, it is easy to cross. You then come out onto a tarmac track for the descent, which is admittedly less pleasant and has a few cars passing by, but I wouldn't have done it the other way round.

A magnificent route in the mid- and high-mountain range, with water features in the first part, then vast horizons opening up before your eyes. This circuit requires a good level of fitness but is well worth the effort. N.B. Please take into account the difficult sections at (3) and (6). Only to be attempted in very good weather: from (4) very difficult orientation in foggy weather and from (7) exposure to thunderstorms.

A beautiful hike in the Uustou Valley, which passes through the hamlets of L'Echart and Ossèse, with numerous waterfalls (especially in spring). As a bonus, you can see the superb Lastien waterfall. A very beautiful hike with no difficulty. Most of the route is covered by vegetation (pleasant in strong sunlight).

Nice hike from the Cirque de Gérac with views of the valley and Mont Valier in the background. Two passages with iron steps and a succession of two ponds before arriving at the summer hut and the Étang de la Réglisse nestled at the foot of the cliffs.

A fantastic getaway leading to one of the most beautiful and largest waterfalls in the Pyrenees.

Boucle au départ d'Aulus-Les-Bains vers la cascade d'Ars et retour par la cascade du Fouillet. Randonnée très agréable, en forêt sur quasiment tout le parcours, avec pour récompense deux cascades mirifiques. Majestueuse, la cascade d'Ars est haute de 246 m en 3 ressauts et sa partie médiane large de 60 m. La cascade du Fouillet, de moindre envergure, est tout aussi belle et impressionnante.

Loop starting from Alus-Les-Bains with varied landscapes. Hike to be undertaken after the snow has completely disappeared (check in advance). Several passages through peat, in the middle of streams and avalanche corridors.Please note: look carefully for markings and signposts, which are not always very visible.
