Park in the Loiry car park.
(S/E) Take the path through the Parc du Loiry, pass the canoe club and reach the banks of the Sèvre and theGRP® Sèvre et Maine.
(1) Take it to the left, following the red and yellow markings. Then walk alongside the racecourse until you reach the bridge over the D105 road.
(2) Go under the road, reach the banks of the Sèvre, turn left to reach the village of La Ville Bachelier.
(3) Turn left, then keep to the right on theGRP®. You will reach the junction of the twoGRP® routes: the Sèvre et Maine and the Pays Nantais.
(4) Keep to the right on the Sèvre et MaineGRP® to reach the Institut des Hauts-Thébaudières.
(5) Go round it on the right and continue along the banks of the Sèvre until you reach the D59. Follow it on the right to reach the bridge.
(6) Cross the bridge, then a few metres further on, leave the road and continue left onto the GRP®. Head towards the village of Bourchinière, specifically the La Péraudière district.
(7) Follow the D59 for a few metres, then leave it and turn left into Rue des Ouches. At the end of this road, continue along the path; this is still theGRP®. Heading due south, reach the junction with the D59 just before the Croix de Brosse.
(8) Turn right here; you will immediately come to the Croix de Brosse. Turn left onto the path and continue until you reach the sports grounds at Saint-Fiacre-sur-Maine.
(9) Leave theGRP® here and walk alongside the sports grounds, first on the right then on the left, until you reach the Maine. Cross it via the bridge. Then turn left to cross the tributary of the Maine via a wooden footbridge. Continue along the path to reach the village of Ronzeray.
(10) Turn right towards the hamlet of Le Petit Clos. Cross the D76 and then Rue du Moulinier. Continue straight on along the path through the vineyards. Carry on along this main path until you reach the Ruisseau de l’Aunay.
(11) Cross it, continue on to reach the entrance to the estate, then turn left at the end of the path. Walk alongside the vineyards, then join theGRP® Sèvre et Maine circular tour of the vineyards.
(12) Turn right onto it and head towards the village of Les Avineaux. Stay on theGRP® trail, following the red and yellow markings. Continue on to reach the village of Portillon, then head towards the crossroads where four roads meet.
(13) Take the small road on the left, running parallel to the main road. Leave this to take a small path on the right and walk along the stream. Follow the path as it climbs between the vineyards. You will reach the junction at Impasse des Brianderies.
(14) Turn right here, cross the village of L'Herbray and continue along Rue du Moulin de l'Herbray until you reach the junction with Route de la Frémoire.
(15) Turn left onto this road, running alongside the vineyard, then turn left onto Chemin de la
Mesangère. Then leave this path and turn right onto Chemin des Haies to reach Route de la Frémoire once more.
(16) Turn left onto it and continue along Rue Auguste Garnier. Cross La Barbinière, then reach Le Chêne and head for the bridge over the Sèvre.
(17) Cross the bridge and you will find the Loiry car park opposite (S/E).
