Park in the car park at the Fontenilles Sports Ground next to the sports centre.
(S/E) Turn your back on the roundabout and take the path running between the two parts of the Espêche industrial estate.
Then follow the path on the left, skirting the outside of the Résidence des Magnolias, until you reach the small bridge crossing the ditch.
(1) Do not cross the bridge but turn right onto the path that climbs through the woods. Halfway up the slope, turn right onto the new path, which is much wider than the old one, and follow it to the edge of the woods. At the edge of the woods, the path continues to the left and follows the edge of the woods to the highest point of the walk (elevation 283). Superb view over the village of Lias and its hamlets, as well as the Fontenilles plain. A stop is recommended.
Head down to the left, continuing to follow the boundary path between the Gers and Haute-Garonne. Another viewpoint, this time over the village of Bonrepos-sur-Aussonnelle with the Pyrenees in the distance.
Continue downwards, ignoring the path on the left that leads down to Bonrepos, and carry on straight ahead.
(2) Take the path on the right which descends towards the Ruisseau d'Espinassou.
(3) Halfway down, take the path on the right which passes above a firewood seller and continue until you reach a road. Follow this road to exit the cul-de-sac and arrive on the road from Lias to Lagouargette.
(4) At the crossroads, turn left and head towards Lias until you reach the bottom of the descent.
(5) Before the climb, after the house and opposite the wood merchant, take the path on the right which climbs towards Les Arramous, passing over the Ruisseau des Crabères.
(6) The path leads onto a road: turn right and head down towards Fontenilles. The road is quiet, but keep to the right if there are more than two people; otherwise, keep to the left. Continue along the road until you reach the Gers/Haute-Garonne boundary, which is marked by a change in the road surface.
(7) Take the shaded path on the right, fording the Ruisseau des Crabères, and continue to the Route de Lias.
(8) Turn left and head down towards Fontenilles until you reach the entrance to the Espêche industrial estate.
(9) Just before this, take the shaded path on the right which runs along the outside of the first part of the industrial estate to the small stream at the end. Cross the stream using the carved steps and, at the top, turn left onto the path you took on the way there and head back to the stadium car park (S/E).
