Bonrepos-sur-Aussonelle and Lias from Fontenilles

Start at the Plaine des Sports car park.

(S/E) Leave the Maison des Sports on your right and the sports grounds on your left, and take the dirt track between the two parts of the Zone Artisanale de l'Espèche.

(1) At the end of the straight road, continue along the path, turning left. The path no longer runs alongside the industrial estate, but now runs alongside the Magnolias housing estate. At the end of this second straight road, ignore the bridge on the left and turn right onto the path that enters the undergrowth.

(2) Climb through the woods, staying on the path as the woods are private property. At the edge of the woods, the path continues to the left and follows the edge of the forest.
Descend on the left, continuing to follow the path bordering the Gers and Haute-Garonne departments. Continue descending to a crossroads where the path on the right enters private property, La Miraclette (sheep farm). Turn left towards Bonrepos

(3). Descend into the village, using the footpath on the right, then on the left of the road. Cross the D12 at the pedestrian crossing and continue to the bridge over the Ruisseau du Guignorieu.

(4) Just before the bridge, take the path on the left, running alongside the stream. Cross via the footbridge at the end of the path on the right to enter the municipal park (there are benches). Walk around the park, either on the right or left, and at the exit, take the footpath on the left, which passes in front of the gymnasium. Cross the D68, Rue de l'Aussonnelle, at the pedestrian crossing and continue on the left along the footpath.

(5) At the crossroads, take the^first street on the right, Chemin de la Goutte.

(6) Before the last house and the end of the road, take the path on the left that goes up along the edge of the field, then the woods, after a 90° bend. When the woods bend, take the wooded path on the left that enters the woods and go up to the Roman road.

(7) Turn right and continue on the^GR®®86, which follows the Roman road.

(8) Take the path on the right that descends towards the Aussonnelle. Ford the river and continue straight ahead. At the T-junction, turn right.

(9) Take the^second path on the left, uphill. You will come to a road; turn left and pass between the house and the farm building to take the path that descends.

(10) When you reach the road, turn right and continue to Chemin du Roy.

(11) Follow this path to the left until you reach a road.

(12) Take the road on the left and continue until you reach the first path on the right (entrance to a field).

(13) Go around the copse, keeping it on your right.

(14) Stay on the edge of the forest until you reach the^third path leading into the woods (at the two houses, Hourette farm), and take it.

(15) After about 100 metres, ignore the paths branching off to the left and continue along the path that turns right. Follow it until it turns right with a sign saying "Private property. No trespassing". Turn left to leave the woods

(16) At the edge of the woods, turn left and follow the edge until you come to a path that leaves the woods and heads off to the right. Follow it to the right. The path winds through the woods to the D12 road to Saint-Lys. Cross it carefully and take the path opposite that goes downhill and runs parallel to the road; continue to a barrier.

(17) Turn right and head back towards the centre of Lias, leaving the departmental road behind you. The path becomes a street; follow it until you reach a square with a bench.

(18) Cross the D535, Route d'Occitanie, with caution and rejoin the path opposite, which is no longer tarmac. The path descends to the bed of the Ruisseau des Crabères, then climbs back up to the D534 at the start of the hamlet of La Cabane.

(19) Turn right onto the departmental road and continue to the next crossroads. Turn left onto the dirt track that climbs up into the Bois des Arramous. Continue along this track until it bends to the left.

(20) Turn onto the path on the right, cross the field, and descend along the edge of the woods. At the bottom, take the path on the right that enters the woods. The path follows a stream and passes through patches of relatively tall bamboo before emerging into the open air.

(21) At the edge of the bamboo forest, the path continues uphill, following the edge of the woods on the left. When the woods bend to the left, follow the path diagonally to the carriage road, then turn left. Continue to the crossroads where there is a bench.

(22) Take the^first road on the right (Chemin de Secouris) and follow it. Pass two houses on the left.

(23) After these, take the^second path on the right, after the tree (entrance to the fields). At the end of the field, turn left, then right at the hedge and follow the tractor path to the Vidalet farm

(24) Take the carriage road on the right, which leads to the D65. Follow it to the Plaine des Sports (S/E).

There is no water on the route, but there are benches at Bonrepos, Lias and at the Secouris crossroads.
