Éétang de Haute-Jarrie walks
The pond and forest of Haute Jarrie
This gentle walk not only takes you along the Haute-Jarrie Nature Reserve and its reed beds, but also allows you to admire beautiful landscapes of the Vercors and Belledonne mountain ranges and stroll through the Haute-Jarrie forest with its chestnut and birch trees.
The walk can be lengthened or shortened.
From the Frange Verte to the Hauts de Jarrie, return via the Voie Romaine
The Grenoble metropolitan area has developed a Frange Verte (Green Belt) to the south, bringing together several walking trails that are popular with everyone and offer views of the mountains.
This route takes you along the Frange Verte in Échirolles, up the Combe de la Gouderie to the Étang de Jarrie-Le-Haut, then down the Voie Romaine, which no longer exists today.
The route is classified as easy, although the climb up the Gouderie may put some people off. Fortunately, it is relatively short.

Fountain - Saint-Nizier-du-Moucherotte
This first stage takes you on an assault on the Vercors, gradually leaving the urban environment behind you.
Chamrousse - Refuge de la Pra
Well known to Grenoble residents, this hike offers superb views of all the surrounding mountains, including Chartreuse, Vercors, Grandes Rousses, Taillefer and Belledonne. As soon as you arrive at the top of the cable car, your gaze is drawn to La Meije, which looks so close.⚠️ This hike can only be done on foot from 30 June to 1 October ⚠️
Lac de la Moucherolle
This walk leads to Lac de la Moucherolle and the Fauge valley.
This hike allows you to discover a multitude of landscapes ranging from a mineral world to pastures and forests with beautiful panoramic views of the entire northern Vercors.
