Description of the walk

Set off from the Rue Principale (D424), at the foot of the church.

(S/E) Head north-east, leaving the cemetery and the church on your right. Walk up Rue de l’École, cross a stream and follow the Blue Triangle signposts.

(1) At the junction, carry on straight ahead following the Red Ring signposting (ignore the Blue Triangle signposting heading left). Walk alongside the stream until you reach another junction.

(2) Turn right onto Rue de la Lavrelle (Red Ring signposting). Ignore a turn-off on the right and, at the end of the street, continue along a track. Carry on eastwards, ignoring any turn-offs to the sides. At a Fork in the road, keep left.

(3) At the T-junction, turn left. Stay on the main path marked with a Red Ring, running along the hillside. Further on, the path gives way to a small road.

(4) Just after the hamlet of Les Hauts Bois, turn left onto the road, following the Red Ring markings. Head downhill until you reach the first houses of Haut-Ranrupt.

(5) At the junction, carry on straight ahead (ignore the Chemin de la Loupe on the right) then turn left to reach a crossroads you passed on the way out.

(2) Then turn right and, following the route in the opposite direction to the outward journey, return to the starting point (S/E).

Hello everyone!
During our walks, most of the time, if my right index finger presses the shutter button on my camera, it is because the light-sensitive cells in my eyes have detected that moment when it is no longer the light that illuminates the subject—which has been drawn to my gaze, whether fleetingly or artistically—but, on the contrary, it is the subject that shines of its own accord; that is the precise moment when I will manage to capture its soul – if we can define this concept from the outset as representing the very essence of aesthetic pleasure that the photograph will evoke, the greatest expressiveness in terms of what needs to be understood, and the perfect balance of forms and colours. But perhaps you’ve noticed…
Last Sunday, 17 November, even though our weekly walk was short and simple – and this after dancing for much of the night to the sounds of a band whose rhythms guided our steps – oh, how delightful it was, for there is always something new to discover, to see and to marvel at…
Via the link to the slideshow below, the photos will tell you all about it and perhaps make you want to go there, even though the landscapes will be changing with the seasons.
Take care.
