Park in the centre of Haut Ranrupt (end of Rue de l'École).
(S/E) Cross the Climontaine stream and turn right uphill onto Route des Hauts-Bois until you reach a fork.
(1) At the first crossroads, keep right and continue on this road until you reach the Hauts Bois farm.
(2) Leave the road and turn left onto the path that climbs into the woods. This path turns sharply left and joins Route des Bois.
(3) Cross it and go up opposite. If you want to go to the Promont farm, take the path on the left. Continue until you reach a crossroads.
(4) Take the path opposite, which turns and leads to the Château de la Roche.
(5) Go down the small path on the left and follow the path that leads to Château de la Roche.
(6) Pass it and continue along the path that descends, then turn left, still descending, towards Bellefosse.
(7) At the crossroads, ignore the path on the right that leads to Bellefosse and continue straight ahead until you reach the Chemin de Fays.
(8) Turn left and go uphill (magnificent view and a good place for a short break). Continue until you reach a hairpin bend in the road.
(9) Continue straight ahead on the road that winds around a few bends and join a road at the entrance to Fonrupt.
(10) Cross the hamlet and pass the Ruisseau de Fonrupt stream.
(11) Continue straight ahead on the path that climbs slightly. At the next crossroads, take the path on the right and descend through the meadows towards Haut Ranrupt.
(12) At the next crossroads, turn right onto Chemin de la Loupe and continue downhill to rejoin the initial fork in the road.
(1) Turn right and follow the same route as on the way there to reach the car park on Rue de l'École (S/E).
