Description of the walk

The starting point is at the Guarrinza car park, situated on the Aguas Tuertas track (the ‘twisted waters’). This track forms part of theGR®11Pyrenees Trail. It is passable by car with caution, and you can park before the Barranco Barcal.

(S/E) Continue along the track heading south-east. The track crosses the Barranco de la Loma.

(1) Leave the track, staying on theGR® which heads uphill to the left and rejoins the track further up.

(2) Ignore the Camino del Dolmen, which branches off to the left, and continue straight ahead along the hillside that runs alongside the Rio Aragón Subordán, which is indeed very winding.

(3) At the junction with the Barranco de la Rueda, turn back and return via the same route to the car park (S/E).

Very beautiful hike in Acherito (it's steep), but the route isn't very well marked on the way back.

Easy hike...but very crowded. Stunning scenery.

Lots of horses, be careful as the ground off the path is very wet.

Please note that the start of the hike is 30 km from the village of Anso... So, for example, it's a 3-hour drive from Pau.
