Easy parking at Port Jean, near the Erdre.
(S/E) With your back to the Erdre, retrace your steps and take the stony path on your left which climbs through Cyrille’s vineyards. Cross the vineyards to the end and arrive at a small hamlet. Follow the small tarmac road as it winds its way.
(1) Turn left and take the path running parallel to the access lane to the Domaine de la Couronnerie. Cross through the undergrowth and head down to the banks of the Erdre. Enjoy the view of the river! Continue to the right along the path that runs alongside the riverbank. Follow the path which climbs quite steeply to the right up to the edge of the cultivated field. Turn left and walk along the edge of the field.
(2) Join a small tarmac road by turning right and walk along the boundary walls of the neighbouring properties.
(3) Cross the road from Sucé-sur-Erdre to Carquefou (M37) with care and head for the hamlet of La Riaudière.
Continue along the path until you reach the large Souchais housing estate.
(4) Enter the housing estate following the yellow markings. A path winds its way through the estate’s newer houses and leads to the Charbonneau wetland, a designated walking area.
(5) Follow the stream to Étang Hervé and head towards the La Fleuriaye roundabout (near the Super U supermarket).
(6) Cross the roundabout and continue straight ahead along Boulevard des Européens. Turn right and follow the edge of the marshes and built-up areas along the yellow-marked path, which branches off to the right as it leaves the banks of the stream.
(7) Turn left onto theGR® which takes you to the Port Jean car park (S/E).
