Erdre (rivière) walks

Discover an unusual trail, following the banks of "La Rigole Alimentaire”, a small canal feeding into Vioreau Pond. The canal crosses the valley of the Erdre thanks to four aqueducts with eight to ten arches and travels underground over 600 m. It is, moreover, spanned by many picturesque stone bridges... During your walk you can admire the Castle of La Lucinière and the wooded area on the other side of the Valley of Erdre.

An easy hike along three streams: le Cens, l'Erdre, and le Gesvres. Nature within the town of Nantes.

This beautiful walk begins with a visit to Chantrerie Park and its remarkable trees. A short detour behind some more or less heavily built-up areas will take you to Étang Hervé and then Port Breton. The return journey will then take you along the Erdre.

Stream: discover the city's historical, architectural and cultural heritage (and even its gastronomic heritage, with its small and large restaurants).

Semi-urban hike along three rivers that wind through Stream: the Cens, the Gesvres and the Erdre. The crossing over the Beaujoire bridge may be uncomfortable for people who are afraid of heights or have vertigo (especially on the stairs).

This is a walk that will allow you to discover our beautiful city of Nantes, its remarkable sites, monuments, narrow streets and "secret" passages. You will also have the pleasure of taking a "real" 20-minute cruise on the Loire to see a superb colourful village.

Set off to explore the Blanche Noë Marshes and the Nantes-Brest Canal. The Erdre River, described by FrançoisI as "the most beautiful river in France", boasts a rich and diverse ecosystem. As you explore the marshes, you may spot one of the 140 species of birds listed in the vicinity of this river, which is classified as a Natura 2000 site.

This large circular hike will allow you to discover Nantes by following four of its streams. The vast majority of this hike takes place in the woods, along the water's edge, and passes through several parks that are well known to Nantes residents. In the urban section, you will discover the city's historical treasures, its castle, its cathedral, and some of the most iconic sites of Nantes culture.

This walk is flat and allows you to follow the Erdre river before climbing back up from L'Isle along the Ruisseau de Montagné. This route is very natural, except for the section through the town centre (where we pass over a milestone on the Way of St James).
