Coming from Nemours via the Route de Poligny, take the first car park on the right.
(S/E) Take the Chemin des Grottes du Loup.
(1) Quite soon after leaving the car park, turn right onto theGR®®13, signposted in red and white – with yellow markings as well. A short, steep climb over the rocks. The signposting is very clear but is sometimes lying on the ground amongst the rocks or on the trees. If in doubt in the pine forest, at a certain point you’ll see a concrete building (like a blockhouse); keep it on your right, but the signposting is correct even if you sometimes feel as though you’re going round in circles
(2) You’ll reach a flat junction with a bench. The path on the right continues towards Nemours, but you must turn left. This south-facing path is fairly flat, offering a bit of a rest after the rocky section. The markings are still present – yellow. Follow these markings until you reach the Chemin des Grottes au Loup.
(3) Turn left, then right about 40 metres further on. Head downhill tothe second path on the right: do not turn at the first yellow signpost but continue along the Chemin des Grottes.
(4) Turn right and, once again, follow the red and white markings ofthe GR®®13amongst the rocks. At the first junction, keep to the right, staying on the marked path. Then follow the path to the wide Chemin de Nemours to Poligny.
(5) Turn left (south-west), following the red and white markings.
(6) At another junction, leave the red and white marked path and follow the yellow markings. There is a large sign; turn right and head south-west, then west.
(7) Walk past the Grotte du Troglodyte, keeping it on your right, and continue to follow the yellow markings. At a T-junction, turn left (west).
(8) Panoramic view over the Loing valley. Set off again to the right (north-east). The yellow markings are there, a little hidden but visible. At a T-junction, turn left. Then turn right to climb the Pain de Sucre.
At the T-junction on the way down, turn left and follow the yellow markings until you rejoin the Chemin des Grottes au Loup.
(3) Turn right and follow the path down to the car park (S/E).
