(S/E) Head towards the church, turning left onto Rue des Gouffres, then right onto Rue de Taisnières.
(1) When you reach Grand Rue, cross over and continue straight ahead on Rue de Cartignies. At the fork, continue left on Rue de Cartignies and at the four-way intersection, continue straight ahead.
(2) At the end, turn right onto Chemin de Dompierre, pass Bas Foyau and continue to Pont de Pierre.
(3) At the four-way intersection, turn left onto Chemin Herbu, which becomes Chemin d'Autreppe. At the next four-way intersection, continue straight ahead on Chemin d'Autreppe.
(4) At the end, turn right onto Rue Roger Lebon and enter Cartignies. Head to Place Fernand Wargnie. You can read explanations about the heritage sites using the baladavesnois app.
Then continue along Rue du Grand Rieu.
(5) At the fork, take the D124, Rue de Beaurepaire, on the left. Follow the Ruisseau du Grand Rieu on the left and continue straight ahead on this main road. This then becomes Route de Cartignies. Continue to the junction with the D116, Route de Floyon.
(6) Turn right towards the village of Beaurepaire-sur-Sambre.
(7) Then take the first right, Rue des Hurettes. Pass the church and then, in the bend, you can stop at the calvary and the oratory to get explanations via the baladavesnois app.
Continue straight ahead on Rue des Hurettes until you reach a four-way crossroads.
(8) Turn left towards Les Hayettes and continue to the oratory on your right
(9) Continue straight ahead, then turn right onto Rue des Linières (D117) before the water tower.
(10) Continue straight ahead on Rue de Prisches (D117) towards Grand-Fayt and pass the kiosk and church on your right.
(11) At the crossroads, continue straight ahead and then, at the fork, continue to the right until you reach the mill. Take the opportunity to take a break at this spot, where everything you need is provided. With your back to the mill, turn right.
(12) Follow the bend to the left, walk along the Helpe Mineure via Route de Taisnières, pass Pas de Laliau and start a steady climb – it's steep!
(13) Ignore Rue du Faux on your left and turn right in front of the weather station onto Rue du Mal d'Accord. Pass La Jonquière.
(14) At the end of the road, turn left onto Rue de Marbaix and pass the cemetery.
(15) When you reach the D962, continue straight ahead along the gravel path. At the end, turn left onto Rue de Taisnières. Pass in front of the church and turn left to return to your starting point (S/E).
