Description of the route

Departure from the car park at Place de Monceau-Saint-Waast.

(S) From the car park on the square, take Rue de Verdun, pass in front of the town hall and continue straight ahead.

(1) At the Y-junction by the chapel, turn left, still on Rue de Verdun.

(2) At the end of the street, turn right onto Route d'Avesnes and walk past the church.

(3) Then take thefirst left, Ruelle à Fromages, then left onto Rue Margot. Ignore a street on the left and continue to the next crossroads.

(4) Turn right onto Rue de Saint Aubin. Continue straight ahead, then turn right, still on Rue de Saint-Aubin. Cross the woods.

(5) At the end of the woods, at the Y-junction in the fields, turn right onto Chemin à Fourche.

(6) At the "give way" sign, turn right to quickly reach Ferme du Pont des Loups, a Maroilles cheese producer. Turn around.

(6) Continue straight ahead on the D124 (Rue du Pont des Loups). At the end, head for the village of Saint-Aubin.

(7) Continue right on Rue d'en Haut and cross the village.

(8) At the stop sign, turn left and then quickly right onto Rue de Dourlers. You will arrive at the entrance to Dourlers.

(9) At the stop sign, turn right onto Rue La Haut and continue straight ahead until you reach the church.

(10) Continue straight ahead, cross the village and ignore all the turnings on either side.

(11) At the stop sign, cross the N2 with extreme caution and continue straight ahead towards Floursies. After about 100 metres, at a three-way junction, continue straight ahead on the D33 towards Sars-Poteries. Cross the Bois de la Garde.

You will arrive in glassmaking country. Remember to look up at the roofs, where you will certainly see the famous bousillés.

(12) At the junction with Route d'Avesnes, located on a bend, take Rue de Dourlers opposite.

(13) When you reach Sars-Poteries, turn right onto Rue Léo Lagrange. At the intersection with Rue Jean Imbert (D80), turn opposite onto Rue Salomon and continue for about 100 metres.

(14) Turn right onto Rue Jean Jaurès and you will arrive at the Pavé de Sars restaurant
