Departure from the Maison du Parc in Maroilles, Grange Dimière car park.
(S/E) Leave the car park and head for the church, turning right onto the D959.
(1) Continue straight ahead, pass the church and turn right onto the D959.
(2) After the kiosk, turn right onto Rue du Faux and continue along the main road. At the fork, continue straight ahead, staying on Rue du Faux.
(3) At the inverted Y-junction, turn right, still on Rue du Faux.
(4) At the next crossroads, turn left and then, at the fork, left again onto Chemin des Fayts. Pass in front of the weather station.
(5) At the give way sign, cross the D962 (take care) and continue straight ahead onto Rue des Charmes.
(6) At the give way sign, turn left onto Rue de Marbaix and enter Taisnières-en-Thiérache. On the right (at elevation 140), you can take the small gravel road to admire the Moulin du Bocage windmill. Otherwise, continue straight ahead.
(7) At the T-junction, turn left onto Rue de Maroilles.
(8) At the oratory, turn right onto Rue des Pâtures. At the next give way sign, turn left.
(9) Turn right onto Rue des Haies.
(10) At the T-junction, turn left onto Grande Rue, then right at the next junction. Continue straight ahead.
(11) At the entrance to Maroilles, continue left onto the D32 and pass the church.
(1) At Place de la Mairie, turn right onto Rue du Lieutenant towards Moulin des Prés.
(12) At the fork, continue straight ahead. At the bridge, take a look at the old mill on the Helpe Mineure and continue straight ahead on Chemin Dame Marguerite.
(13) At the crossroads, continue straight ahead. On your right is the old Ferme de Catillon farm; you are still on Chemin Dame Marguerite.
(14) At the T-junction, turn left onto Chemin de Bruneau.
(15) Turn right onto Chemin du Préseau.
(16) At the give way sign, cross the D959 and make a quick first turn right then left onto Chemin de la Bouflette.
(17) At the four-way junction, continue straight ahead onto Chemin des Fayts. Pass the Chapelle Henriet chapel on your right.
(18) At the give way sign with the D32, turn right onto Rue des Vallées and continue straight ahead until you reach Chemin du Campiau. Turn right. At the stop sign, turn left and enter Prisches.
(19) At the give way sign, continue straight ahead on Rue René Ruelle. At the small roundabout, turn left and pass in front of the church. You are now on the D964, Rue d'Avesnes. Continue straight ahead.
(20) After the water tower, turn left onto Rue des Linières (D117) towards Grand Fayt. Continue straight ahead.
(21) Take the first right at a place called Arbre Sec.
(22) At the oratory, turn left and continue straight ahead on the small country road, Chemin de l'Arbre Sec.
(23) At the Petit-Fayt give way sign, turn right onto Rue du Village (D232) and take the first left, Chemin de Dompierre.
(24) At the four-way crossroads at Pont de Pierre, continue straight ahead on Chemin de Dompierre.
(25) After the farm, turn left onto Rue de Cartignies. Pass Le Foyau and turn left onto Fache de la Poutée. Continue straight ahead until you reach a four-way crossroads
(26) Turn left onto Rue de Marbaix. Turn right at the next crossroads and pass in front of the chapel.
(27) At the T-junction, turn left onto Rue du Moulin towards Grand-Fayt. Enjoy the view of the restored watermill on your left. After the mill, follow the street on the left.
(28) At the give way sign, turn right onto Rue de Maroilles (D232). Continue straight ahead. At the junction with Chemin du Piquet, continue straight ahead on Route de Cartignies.
(29) Take the first small street on the right, Chemin Aie Madeleine.
(30) At the T-junction, turn right onto Chemin Hazard and a few metres later, turn left onto Rue des Vigniers.
(31) At the T-junction, turn right onto Rue de la Basse and stay on the main road, which turns left after Rue des Malades.
At the main road (D959), Route de Landrecies, turn right carefully and admire the Maroilles watermill on your right. Further on, take the second street on the left and join the Maison du Parc (S/E).
